Community Rules

Please read and abide by these guidelines to keep our community safe and supportive

1. Respect and Integrity

  • Treat all members with respect, regardless of background, skill level, or experience.
  • Celebrate diversity of thought, culture, and approach.
  • No harassment, discrimination, or bullying will be tolerated.

2. Trust and Confidentiality

  • Do not share or use another participant’s ideas, code, or materials without explicit permission.
  • Respect the privacy of cohort discussions and any materials shared within the group.
  • If you are inspired by someone else’s work, credit them and ask before building on their ideas.

3. Build in Public, But With Consent

  • Share your own journey openly, but never disclose another participant’s work, progress, or challenges without their consent.
  • Give constructive feedback and support, not unsolicited criticism.

4. No Self-Promotion or Spam

  • Share your work and progress authentically, not as advertisements.
  • Avoid spamming the group with links, promotions, or unrelated content.

5. Commitment and Accountability

  • Show up for scheduled check-ins, sessions, and demo days.
  • Participate actively: set goals, share progress, and support others.
  • If you cannot attend or need to step back, communicate with the group.

6. Collaboration Over Competition

  • Foster a spirit of mutual support and learning.
  • Healthy competition is welcome, but undermining, sabotaging, or copying others is not.

7. Ownership and Originality

  • Only submit work that is your own or that you have explicit permission to share.
  • Do not copy, clone, or repurpose another member’s product, code, or marketing without clear consent.

8. Feedback and Dispute Resolution

  • Give feedback that is specific, actionable, and kind.
  • If you have a concern or conflict, address it respectfully with the person involved or bring it to the organizers for mediation.

9. Uphold Community Values

  • Contribute to a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment.
  • Help maintain the quality and integrity of the community by reporting violations or concerns to the organizers.

10. Consequences

  • Violations of these rules may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community, depending on severity.
